Water Crisis
The 27th District is in trouble; as we struggle to figure out a source of water for our patrons and industry, it seems Washington has left us behind. As your congressman, I would vow to fight for our citizens and pressure our government for federal funding, desalination plants, and aid, as we aim to find a resolution to this crisis. There is no reason why this shouldn't have happened already. After years of inaction by our current congressman (who serves as Vice Chairman of the Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies), it’s time for a change.

Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD)
It's imperative that we protect the jobs and work force of our Corpus Christ Army Depot and Naval Air Station. These two entities roughly employ 3,000 people; they also stimulate the 27th District's economy by providing 1.4 billion in revenue.

We must take action to ensure the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) has a work load of 100% at all times. It’s important to understand that CCAD pays rent to the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, and Naval Air Station Corpus Christi cannot exist financially without CCAD. Without these two entities, more than 3,000 people will be unemployed. Help us to ensure we keep the 27th District thriving.

Little Representation for the Majority of the 27th District
The 27th District is a vast area streaming from the coast to central Texas, but why is it that most of these counties are so under represented? Being from Nueces County, I know that we have so much to offer, but how has the largest county been shuffled to the side?

It’s important that we have a Congressman that will make sure each county in the 27th District is given adequate respect and attention. It doesn’t matter how large or small they are, with each of these counties, we wouldn’t be the 27th District of the United States. As your Congressman, I would ensure, and propose, routine strategy so that no county is overlooked, all requests are received and adhered to, and that constant communication is intact to have a well-structured representation of government. Every person in the 27th District is worth the time; after all, that’s one of the most important things we can give to one another.
